Program Our venue in Washington, DC
A truly global event, TEDWomen will connect richly to self-organized events held throughout the world. But we'll also take advantage of our location in the heart of Washington, DC. To deepen the sense of place, attendees will be offered a series of not-to-be-missed pre-conference visits and programs, including a curator's tour of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, which will be mounting a special exhibit in conjunction with TEDWomen.
The conference itself will be held at the International Trade Center, on Pennsylvania Avenue. The 640-seat theater provides an intimate environment to take in two days of inspired talks, performances and conversations.
The final evening will close with a celebratory program at the newly built United States Institute of Peace. This will be the very first event held in this architecturally stunning building designed by TED speaker Moshe Safdie. Designed to embody the spirit of peace, the building features soaring open atriums and a roof with "wings" built of steel and translucent glass. The atrium in which we'll hold our final party looks out over the Lincoln Memorial: a stunning vista with which to close the program.
