What is TED2014?

2014 marks TED’s 30th anniversary, and the theme for TED2014 is simply this: “The Next Chapter.” At our weeklong conference, we’ve been seeking to understand what are truly the most significant developments of the last 30 years ... and to apply that knowledge to understand what’s ahead.

TED2014 happened in Vancouver and Whistler, BC, Canada, March 17-21, 2014. See the speaker lineup.

"Companies were created to give people the chance to innovate and not put everything on the line. They were intended to limit risk, not to be a moral shield.” -- Charmian Gooch

"Visionaries not only believe that the impossible can be done, but that it must be done." - Bran Ferren

"People ask me, what did I do to make Malala so bold & courageous? I did not clip her wings." - Ziauddin Yousafzai
